P.S. I Like You-Book Review

You’re my favorite way to pass the time. But time stands still when you’re on my mind.

Title: P.S. I Like You.

Author: Kasie West

Publisher: Scholastic

Pages: 330

Publication Date: July 26, 2016

5/5 🌟

Synopsis: Lily writes down song lyrics as she’s zoned of in Chemistry. The next day the song has a continuation and a little note for Lily. Lily and her new pen pal talk about their favorite songs, thoughts, and secrets. The one question Lily has is who is he? Shes determined to find out. Lily and her pen pal start sharing letters with each other. As Lily tries to uncover who he is, she faces some challenges. She struggles to find time for herself with her crazy family always asking her to do something.

Thoughts: I genuinely loved this book. The story that is untold and the lying undertone of it was so cute and sweet. The relationship with Cade is like nothing I’ve seen in Young Adult literature. The relationship Lily has with her family and siblings to so realistic. The way they fight and bicker is like being a part of an actual family. Her brothers are so sweet as they look up to her and would rather have her take care of them. Lily is also under a lot of stress as she continues to write a song. She created such beautiful lyrics.

I really enjoyed Kasie’s other books, just not as much as this one. I would highly recommend reading: P.S. I Like You, By Your Side, and The Distance Between US.
