Synopsis: Anise loves to surf. She’s exited to spend all of the summer on the beach surfing, but then her dad tells her they are going to Nebraska to help her aunt out. She was recently in a car accident and will be in a wheel chair for a few weeks of the summer. Anise and her dad fly out and help out. While they are there Anise babysits her cousins. She takes them to the skate park where she meets Lincoln, a one armed and charming man. Lincoln gets Anise to try skateboarding and maybe change her to be a skater instead of a surfer. As the two connect and share there lives, Anise is given an opportunity to go home for the rest of the summer. Can she leave Lincoln and her cousins?

Thoughts: This was such an addicting and thrilling read. You never knew what Lincoln would do with Anise next. The way she connected with Emery and when she helped her through her friend problems made you want an Anise. Your heart would break for Anise as she explains what her moms leaving did to her. Anise has such a big heart.  I wish I was her. I really enjoyed all of this book. I got angry when Anise got angry or is she was sad, happy, or content. You won’t want to put this book down once you’ve started it! Highly highly recommend it!
