Synopsis: Avery Thronton is completely nervous and excited about her first day of high school. During the first day, a senior leads her astray and she ends up nowhere near her classroom. Instead of ending up where she’s supposed to be, she ends up in an equipment room. When she runs into the room she runs into Eli Fields, who is having just as bad a day she is. He just got benched from the football team. Eli isn’t allowed to quit because his two older brothers have received scholarships for playing football. Avery learns this in their short time together and tries to get him to be her dance partner. His response is he doesn’t dance. What happens when Avery spots him at a dancing game at the mall? Will she still be able to dance with her current partner when she would rather be dancing with Eli?

Thoughts: This is a super cute read. It’s great if you need something light but still with a good purpose. Eli is such a cute character that I’d love a whole story just dedicated to him! The connections between both characters are very realistic. I so love the relationship between Avery and her sister. You can tell how much they care for each other. They both support each other’s hobbies, Avery with dancing and her sister with soccer. This was a great read, that was really fun and entertaining.

The Novella included was just as cute and sweet. I really enjoyed getting to see a different perspective on a bake-off show. These are some great reads for the summer.

Synopsis: Cassie is trying to live a normal life. Her boyfriend, Ryan, adores her. She also has a great set of friends. One person, in particular, keeps taunting her with gifts, even though she hasn’t seen him. Ryan wants her to not worry about these things happening and her to take her life back in her hands. The woodland creatures have been quiet, other than Aiden. Cassie is trying her hardest to ignore him. Some unexplainable events start to happen, especially now that Laney, her best friend, are on opposite sides.

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this continuation of Of The Trees. I loved the romance between Cassie and Ryan. Ryan is such a sweet boyfriend, who’s very supportive. I also really love Aidan’s character and the gifts he gives Cassie are super cute and well thought out. This was still a creepy book but still not terribly scary.
