Synopsis: All Katie wants in life is to be desired. Her father left her and her mom when she was young. She is never wanted by any of the guys at her school, and even her secret crush/best friend pick her last. It’s finally her senior year, and Katie decides it’s time to do things for her, not Alex, that is until he decides he wants help getting a date from her new neighbor.

Alex has been living with grief and denial ever since his brother died two years ago.  After being in the fast lane, he’s ready to slow down and get a girlfriend and needs help from his best friend and crush, Katie. Alex would never make a move on Katie because she is and always be his dead brother’s girl, not his.

This is the year they both decide to move on do things to make themselves happy. Who knows maybe they will end up together?

Thoughts: Although it may seem predictable it was still a great story, that warmed my insides. I really enjoyed the little love triangle that happened. I also really enjoyed Katie and Alex’s relationship even if it wasn’t official to them. You could tell that they both had strong feelings for each other even if they didn’t want to admit it. This was a good summer romance for a good day at the pool!
